The American Society for Dermatologic Surgery is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Education (ACCME) to sponsor continuing medical education for physicians. This enduring continuing medical education activity was planned and produced in accordance with the ACCME Essentials.

The American Society for Dermatologic Surgery designates this continuing medical education activity for 1 hour in category 1 credit towards the AMA Physician's Recognition Award. Each physician should claim only those hours of credit that he/she spent in the educational activity.

Course 1: Hemangiomas: Evaluation and Treatment Objectives

At the end of the module the participant should be able to:

  1. Recognize the clinical features of infantile hemangiomas
  2. Classify hemangiomas according to current accepted nomenclature
  3. Describe procedures, radiographic evaluation and other tests that are indicated for infantile hemangiomas
  4. List indications for surgical and medical treatment of infantile hemangiomas
